Temporary Winter Maintenance Positions - October 2009 through April 2010

Seeking applicants to fill temporary (on-call) positions for varying shifts (locations listed below).

These positions will be utilized in DOT winter highway maintenance programs.

Qualified applicants will operate maintenance, snow and ice removal equipment.  Other duties include preparing, loading, and unloading material and spreading abrasives/de-icing chemicals on the roadway.

These positions require the ability to lift objects in excess of 65 lbs., to work outdoors during inclement weather and to understand and follow written/oral instructions.  Applicants must possess/maintain a Class B Commercial Driver's License with an airbrake endorsement.  Employees will be subject to drug and alcohol testing requirements including pre employment testing.

These positions are temporary and do not have a guaranteed number of hours.
